Recording was working, but no longer works

A recent change to the Google Chrome browser proved to be incompatible with our approach for saving recordings to your local downloads folder.

To fix this issue, all users need to grant our browser extension additional privileges, to let it save to your downloads folder. This includes users who previously enabled recording.

If recording was working for you, but no longer works, you need to do as follows:

  1. Right-click the CrankWheel button and choose Options.
  2. Near the bottom of the page, click "Enable meeting recording" which will prompt you to grant the necessary privileges.

If you use CrankWheel on multiple computers, and recording works on some of them but not others, then please email us at [email protected] as this is something we can get fixed for you.
